PRODA access to the NDIS Commission portals ends 30 September 2026

PRODA access to the NDIS Commission portals ends 30 September 2026

Posted 19 September 2026.

What is happening

From 30 September 2026, you will not be able to use Provider Digital Access (PRODA) to log in to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission's provider portals. Access moves to a combination of myID (the Australian Government Digital ID, formerly myGovID) and Relationship Authorisation Manager (RAM).

The Commission's wording is direct: "You won't be able to use PRODA to access our portals once the transition period ends." The transition opened on 7 December 2025 and closes on 30 September 2026.

If you have not set this up, do it before the end of the month. The portal is where registration applications, notifications, reportable incidents and annual declarations are submitted, so losing access is not a small inconvenience.

Who this affects

  • Providers who log in to the NDIS Commission portals. You need myID and RAM.
  • Participants who self manage, and plan managers acting for participants. The Commission says these users continue to use PRODA.

This is a different change from the NDIA one

The two systems are separate and the dates are different. PRODA was already retired for the National Disability Insurance Agency's my NDIS provider portal from 10 November 2025. The 30 September 2026 date is the NDIS Commission's portals. If you set up myID and RAM last year for claiming, you may already be most of the way there, but check that you can actually sign in to the Commission portal before the deadline rather than assuming.

What to do

  1. Set up your own myID. Each person sets up their own, using a personal email address, because myID is tied to your personal identity and not to the business.
  2. Work out which identity strength you need. Workers who only need to access the portal need at least Standard. The principal authority, meaning the person responsible for the business, needs Strong in order to link the business in RAM.
  3. Check the passport catch early. Strong identity strength requires a valid Australian passport, or one that expired within the last three years. If the principal authority does not have one, another eligible principal authority can link the business instead. This is the step that catches people out, because there is no quick fix if you find out on 29 September.
  4. Link the business in RAM. The principal authority links their myID to the business ABN.
  5. Authorise your staff in RAM, then have each of them sign in to the Commission portal and confirm it works.

The Commission notes that during the transition, someone who cannot set up a Standard myID can still use PRODA. That concession ends with the transition period.

What this does not change

It is an identity and login change only. It does not replace NDIS worker screening checks, it does not change your registration, and it does not change your obligations. See our guide to the NDIS worker screening check if that is what you were thinking of.
